As a citizen of God's kingdom, there are certain conditions to be met. The Bible says:

"…I tell you the truth, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

"…I tell you the truth, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." (John 3:3, 5)

Your choice to accept Jesus as your Savior was a move of God's Spirit on your heart. You may have also been baptized by immersion, publicly acknowledging your commitment. But being born of water is also referring to God's Word...often referred to in Scripture as "water." As we read it and follow it, we are made clean by the Word of God. Notice the promise:

"I will sprinkle clean water on you and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws." (Ezekiel 36:25-27)

This change will come about as you actively choose to know Jesus on a personal level and follow His instructions. Matthew 6:33 says:

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Now let's look at some simple first steps to implement His plan.
